📋 General

What is FASTASSVPS?+

FASTASSVPS (FAVPS) is a premium VPS hosting provider operated by Caliber Node, LLC. We specialize in high-performance virtual private servers powered exclusively by AMD Ryzen processors and DDR5 memory. We were founded because we were tired of hosting companies that oversell their hardware and deliver garbage performance.

How fast is server deployment?+

Most servers are provisioned and live within 30-60 seconds of payment confirmation. You'll receive root credentials immediately and can connect via SSH right away. No manual approval, no waiting for business hours.

What operating systems do you support?+

We support all major Linux distributions including Ubuntu (20.04, 22.04, 24.04), Debian (11, 12), CentOS Stream 9, AlmaLinux (8, 9), Rocky Linux (8, 9), Fedora (39, 40), and Arch Linux. Windows Server 2019 and 2022 are also available on select plans for an additional license fee.

Where are your data centers located?+

We currently operate in four locations: Dallas TX, New York NY, Los Angeles CA, and Frankfurt Germany. All locations run identical Ryzen-powered hardware with DDR5 memory, so you get the same performance regardless of which location you choose.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?+

Yes — we offer a 48-hour money-back guarantee on all plans. If you're not satisfied for any reason within the first 48 hours, contact support for a full refund. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.

🔧 Hardware

What CPU do your servers use?+

Every FASTASSVPS server runs on AMD Ryzen processors — high-core-count CPUs with 3D V-Cache technology built on the Zen 4 architecture. They are widely regarded as the best platform for gaming and cache-sensitive workloads. We chose Ryzen specifically because the massive L3 cache delivers incredible performance for game servers, databases, and real-time applications.

What type of RAM do you use?+

All servers use DDR5-5200 memory. DDR5 offers significantly higher bandwidth and improved latency compared to DDR4. Ryzen's AM5 platform natively supports DDR5, and we've tuned our memory configurations for optimal performance with this processor.

What kind of storage do you use?+

Every server uses PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs delivering up to 7,000 MB/s sequential reads and over 1 million random 4K IOPS. We use enterprise-grade drives with high endurance ratings. There are no SATA SSDs or spinning hard drives anywhere in our infrastructure.

Do you oversell your hardware?+

Absolutely not. Your vCPU cores, RAM, and storage are dedicated to your VPS. We maintain strict overcommit ratios to ensure consistent performance. Unlike many budget hosts that cram hundreds of VPS instances onto a single node, we limit the number of VPS per server to guarantee that every customer gets the performance they're paying for.

Why AMD Ryzen instead of EPYC?+

Ryzen's 3D V-Cache gives it dramatically better performance per-core for cache-sensitive workloads compared to EPYC processors. For use cases like game servers (especially Minecraft), real-time databases, and applications that benefit from high single-threaded performance, Ryzen consistently outperforms EPYC. We chose performance over raw core count because that's what actually matters for our customers' workloads.

💳 Billing

Are there any setup fees or hidden charges?+

No. The price listed on our plans page is the price you pay. Zero setup fees, zero activation charges, zero surprise line items. DDoS protection, backups, monitoring, and support are all included. The only optional add-on is a Windows Server license if you need it.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?+

Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your control panel. Upgrades are applied instantly with zero downtime. You'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) as well as PayPal. Cryptocurrency payments may be available upon request for annual plans — reach out to support for details.

Is there a contract or commitment?+

No contracts, no commitments. All plans are billed monthly and you can cancel at any time. When you cancel, your service continues until the end of your current billing period. We also offer discounted annual billing for customers who want to lock in a lower rate.

⚙️ Technical

Do I get full root access?+

Yes — every VPS comes with full root (Linux) or Administrator (Windows) access. You have complete control to install any software, modify any configuration, and run any workload. There are no restricted commands or locked-down kernels.

Do you offer DDoS protection?+

Yes — enterprise-grade DDoS mitigation is included free on every plan. We filter L3 (volumetric), L4 (protocol), and L7 (application-layer) attacks automatically. Traffic is scrubbed in real-time with zero added latency during normal operation. No configuration required on your end.

How do backups work?+

Automated daily snapshots are taken of your entire server with a rolling 7-day retention. You can also create manual snapshots at any time from the control panel. Restoring from a snapshot is a single click and typically completes in under 5 minutes. Backups are stored on separate infrastructure from your VPS for redundancy.

Do you support IPv6?+

Yes — every VPS includes a dedicated IPv4 address and a /64 IPv6 subnet at no additional cost. Additional IPv4 addresses are available for $2/mo each.

Can I set up reverse DNS (rDNS)?+

Yes — you can configure reverse DNS records for all your IP addresses directly from the control panel. This is especially useful for mail servers and services that perform rDNS lookups.

🎮 Game Servers

Can I host a Minecraft server on FAVPS?+

Absolutely — this is one of our most popular use cases. AMD Ryzen is the single best platform for Minecraft servers thanks to its massive 3D V-Cache and high single-core boost clocks. For vanilla servers, our Growth or Pro plan works great. For modded (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge) servers with 100+ mods, we recommend the Pro plan (4 GB DDR5) or higher. For large modded networks with multiple servers behind a Velocity proxy, the Business or Enterprise plans give you the headroom you need.

Which plan is best for modded Minecraft?+

For most modpacks (50-150 mods), we recommend the Pro plan with 4 GB DDR5 RAM. Heavier packs with 200+ mods or many players should look at the Business plan (8 GB). If you're running a multi-server network with a hub, survival, creative, and modded servers behind Velocity, the Enterprise (16 GB) or Dedicated (32 GB) plans will keep everything running smooth.

What other games can I host?+

Our VPS plans work great for virtually any game server including Rust, ARK: Survival Evolved, Valheim, Palworld, Terraria, Counter-Strike 2, Project Zomboid, Satisfactory, and many more. Ryzen's high clock speeds and massive cache benefit any game that relies on fast single-threaded performance.

Do you offer managed game server hosting?+

Our VPS plans are unmanaged — you get full root access and install/configure the game server yourself. This gives you complete control over your setup. However, our support team are experienced server admins and can point you in the right direction if you need help with initial setup. We also maintain a knowledge base with setup guides for popular game servers.

💬 Support

How fast is your support response time?+

Our average response time is under 15 minutes for ticket-based support, 24/7/365. For Pro plans and above, you get priority support which guarantees a response within 10 minutes. Our support team are real human beings who actually know Linux — not AI chatbots or outsourced agents reading scripts.

What support channels are available?+

We offer support via our ticket system (available 24/7), live chat during business hours, and our Discord community where you can get help from both staff and other customers. Enterprise and Dedicated plan customers also get access to a dedicated account representative.

What does "unmanaged" mean?+

Unmanaged means you're responsible for the software running on your VPS — installing packages, configuring services, managing updates, and securing your server. We handle everything at the infrastructure level: hardware, network, hypervisor, and DDoS protection. If something is wrong with our hardware or network, we fix it. If you need help installing Nginx or debugging your application, that's on you — though our support team is happy to point you in the right direction.
